My name is Coraline, but my foster family calls me Mama Kitty, I was born a feral kitten, and at about 8 months, I had a litter of my own. I found this nice family that fed me every day. I was so hungry caring for my kittens, so when my foster family yelled out mama kitty, I would run to their patio to eat. I knew they must be good people because I saw 4 other cats in their patio playing with them, but then they would go into the house and I would return to wherever I could hide my babies from predators. Once my kittens were old enough, I brought them to where the kind family would feed me and then hid my kittens in the engine of their car. I knew the family would get the kittens and take them into their patio for safe keeping. I longed to be in the patio and in the house with the others, but I was so scared. I worked on my courage every day and finally, I got brave enough to go in the patio. It was so nice to be with my kittens and have 4 other cat friends. I didn’t want anyone to touch me, but boy was it nice not to be looking over my back all the time and I didn’t have to find a place to sleep. The family found wonderful furrever homes for 5 of my kittens, and they kept one. I love being in the house! I don’t think I ever want to go outside again. I love to play with all the great toys, and these scratch posts are awesome. I especially love the comfy bed they gave me, and you know what… I am starting to really like this petting stuff too. I might even rub up against you when your getting my food ready. I don’t know if I will ever be a lap cat, but I don’t mind being held for a little while in a blanket where I feel safe and have my head scratched. I’m not a dominant cat, and I like my friends not to be also. Dogs sort of scare me as I haven’t been around them much. I suppose if one was nice to me, I might try to be nice back. I’d love to meet you, but don’t be put off by my cautious behavior. I’d like to be loved and I would love you right back!
